Volunteering at DRUE

Volunteers are the lifeblood of DRUE. We could not run without the support of the amazing and dedicated individuals across the UK who give their time and energy. They care for and walk the dogs, carry out home visits, attend events, raise funds, and help with social media and websites. Every role helps DRUE succeed.

Everything you do makes a difference

Dog walking

DRUE Dobermann Rescue is currently looking for a small number of dedicated volunteers to help regularly walk our dogs.

By volunteering, you will not only enhance the quality of life for the dogs in our care but also find a renewed sense of purpose. Whether you have recently lost a pet or simply wish to make a positive impact for dogs in need.

Volunteer requirements. Applicants must be over 21 yrs old, fit and capable of walking strong dogs. Previous experience of large breed dogs required.

More than walking

Volunteering with the dogs can involve all sorts of tasks – some more hands-on than walking , playing, or simply sitting with nervous dogs and puppies to help build their confidence. What you’ll do on the day will depend on what’s needed and what you’re comfortable with.
